In June 2023, I gave birth to our miracle, Reggie. He was born at 27 +1, fighting for his life. During our NICU stay we had the support of the team from miracle babies who provided us with not only an ear, and a shoulder to cry on- they also provided information, aswell as diaries to log Reggie's story, toiletries to see us through our stay away from home, plus more.
Babies born premature or critically ill can go on to face lifelong challenges and the experience affects the wellbeing of the entire family. These babies require specialised medical care and sadly, each year up 1,000 babies will lose their fight for life. One is too many!
I am taking part in the Miracle Moon Walk to raise funds for Miracle Babies Foundation who provide vital programs and resources to these miracle families to help them through this overwhelming and traumatic experience.
