In November 2020, my son Frederick was born unexpectedly at 28 weeks and 4 days' gestation. He weighed 1.28kg, and needed breathing support immediately. He went on to spend almost two months in the NICU at Liverpool Hospital, NSW. During that time, our family received helpful support from the Miracle Babies Foundation, who provide vital programs and resources to families of premature babies, to help them through the overwhelming and traumatic experience of having a baby in the NICU. In April 2024, I will be taking part in the Miracle Moon Walk to raise funds for this wonderful Foundation.
